PADI Open Water Certification

Get certified for life with the PADI Open Water Diver Course, where you’ll learn to use basic scuba gear and breathe underwater for the first time. If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.

Pre-requisites:
15 years old (10 for Junior Open Water)
Time investment:
30 hours self study + 2 hour classroom session + 3 hour pool session + 4 open water dives.

Advanced Open Water Certification

Just completed your Open Water Class? Now it’s time to move on to Advanced Open Water diving.The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. You’ll hone your skills by completing five adventure dives that introduce you to a variety of specialties.

Pre-requisites:

12 years old and open water certified

Time investment:

15 hours self study + 6 open water dives (3 days)

  2. Deeper water diving (typically 60-100 feet)
  3. A sampler of three more Adventure Dives of your choice
  4. Practical aspects and physiological effects of deep diving
  5. How to navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time
  6. How to better use your underwater compass, dive computer and electronic Recreational Dive Planner

Rescue Diver Certification

Regarded by divers as the most demanding and rewarding course they’ve taken, the PADI Rescue Diver course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems while diving, and how to manage them if they occur.

Pre-requisites:

Current first aid and CPR within the previous two years (Ask your instructor about Emergency First Response CPR and first aid courses)

Time investment:

25 hours self study + 10 exercises in 2 scenarios (2 days of open water diving)
